I think we’ve all had the experience of feeling grumpy and even Scrooge-y when we deeply desire something but, for whatever reason, don’t feel like we can have it – and then we look at others that DO have that thing and think, Bah Humbug! Why do they get to have that thing and I don’t! We may even convince ourselves we don’t actually want that thing, and never have wanted it, anyway!
Deep down, we know that isn’t going to create long-term happiness.
Touching our true longings is a beautiful and holy thing.
But how can we go from feeling embarrassed about and denying our longings, to actualizing them in our lives?
It’s a big leap to make over a Grand Canyon of unworthiness, so what are the baby steps we can take to get there?
